Russian Troll Bots Have Not Gone Offline En Masse

Not in any significant numbers, anyhow. Anyone asserting so is spreading misinformation.
This first came to my attention via Joohn Choe, who has always struck me as a reliable source who values factual correctness. Tellingly, Snopes backs this up, saying flatly that “The claim that Ukrainian strikes on Russian bot farms caused right-wing or MAGA social media activity to decrease is unproven.”
Update: The CBC agrees, reporting that “Zelenskyy’s claims that Ukraine drone attack halted Russian bot traffic don’t hold up.”
